Job summary

Burroughs & Chapin Company, Inc. is seeking a Specialty Leasing Coordinator to prospect, negotiate and manage carts/kiosks and temporary inline merchants across assigned projects.

You will collaborate with the management team to deliver a best-in-class guest experience, assist property events, monitor tenant compliance and vendor relationships, and drive revenue opportunities. Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; 2–5 years in related field.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, negotiate and execute agreements of carts/kiosks and temporary inline merchants.

• Ensure tenants adhere to permitted use clauses in their agreements.
• Serve as on-site liaison with merchants; communicate via memos and store visits.
• Travel as required to prospect new merchants and revenue opportunities.

Job description

Prospect, negotiate and execute agreements of carts/kiosks and temporary inline merchants throughout the project and portfolio as assigned. Participate with management team to create and maintain the best-in-class guest experience. Assist with property events as necessary.

• In conjunction with VP, create the annual Specialty Retail Budget and throughout the year secure and negotiate agreements of carts/kiosks and temporary inline merchants to meet or exceed the established goals.
• Identify and secure new and unique specialty leasing opportunities that complement the property’s merchandise mix as well as enhance shopping experience
• Monitor and manage the Specialty Retail program to ensure compliance with operational and visual merchandising standards and enhance property value.
• Travel, as required to “prospect” for additional merchants, concepts and revenue enhancement opportunities.
• Complete special event licensing agreements provided by legal department and collect liability insurance for any performances or vendor displays at Broadway
• Monitor accounts receivable for specialty leasing tenants and ensure rent payments are made according to agreement
• Monitor tenants to ensure they are adhering to the permitted use clause within the agreement
• Monitor trends, innovations, concepts and market conditions in the industry as it may relate to BATB
• Serve as on-site merchant/customer liaison; including appropriate communication with merchants via memos, visits to the stores, etc
• Promote a synergistic relationship with team members in all department and divisions
• Ensure professional development to enhance work knowledge, skills and abilities
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, regulations, standards, guidelines, expectations and requirements
• Ensure completion of work responsibilities and special projects in accordance with the designated timeframe, as determined by the reporting leader

• Provide reporting leader with feedback, ideas and suggestions on a timely basis

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred
