Job summary

Koch Specialty Plant Services, LLC is seeking a Specialty Pipefitter to support projects across the United States. You will read isometric drawings, install and maintain steam tracing and small-bore tubing, and perform field fit-ups in industrial facilities.

Safe, reliable teamwork and precise workmanship are essential as you contribute to turnaround and maintenance projects within a Koch Engineered Solutions framework.

Qualifications

• Must have industrial pipefitting experience.
• Experience with steam tracing and small-bore tubing installation in industrial or refinery environments.
• Ability to read isometric drawings, piping layouts and project specifications.
• Knowledge of pipefitting tools, tubing tools, materials, fittings and valves.
• Ability to measure, calculate offsets and perform field fit-up.
• Strong understanding of industrial construction safety practices.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a field construction team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret isometric drawings, piping layouts and specifications.
• Install, assemble, maintain and repair piping systems in an industrial facility.
• Perform steam tracing and small-bore tubing installation as per specs.
• Install and maintain steam supply and condensate tracing systems.
• Work with tubing, fittings, valves, supports and related components.
• Identify routing to avoid interference with existing piping and equipment.
• Perform field measurements and adjust for proper fit-up.
• Inspect completed work for alignment, supports and connections.
• Follow site safety procedures and project requirements; work overtime as needed.
• Maintain regular attendance and reliability on project schedules.

What You Will Do

• Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret isometric drawings, piping layouts, blueprints, and specifications.
• Install, assemble, maintain, and repair piping systems in an industrial facility.
• Perform steam tracing and small-bore tubing installation, including measuring, cutting, bending, routing, supporting, and securing tubing in accordance with project specifications.
• Install and maintain steam supply and condensate return tracing systems used to provide freeze protection and maintain process temperatures.
• Work with tubing, fittings, valves, supports, and related components associated with steam tracing systems.
• Identify proper routing and installation methods to avoid interference with existing piping, equipment, insulation, and other trades.
• Perform field measurements and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper fit-up and installation.
• Inspect completed work for proper alignment, supports, connections, and overall quality.
• Follow all site safety procedures and project-specific requirements while working around operating equipment and piping systems.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and work scheduled overtime as project needs require.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Previous industrial pipefitting experience.
• Hands-on experience with steam tracing and/or small-bore tubing installation in an industrial or refinery environment.
• Experience measuring, cutting, bending, routing, and installing tubing and associated fittings.
• Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings, piping layouts, and project specifications.
• Knowledge of pipefitting tools, tubing tools, materials, fittings, valves, and proper installation practices.
• Ability to accurately measure, calculate offsets, and perform field fit-up.
• Strong understanding of industrial construction safety practices.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a field construction team.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Previous experience performing steam tracing in a refinery, chemical plant, or other process-industry environment.
• Experience installing steam supply, condensate return, and heat-tracing tubing systems.
• Experience with small-bore stainless steel or carbon steel tubing, tube bending, compression fittings, and tubing support systems.
• Previous experience working in an operating facility or turnaround environment.
• Familiarity with project-specific quality requirements related to tubing and steam tracing installations
