Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Licensed Pharmacist Technician I to support prescription processing and daily pharmacy operations for the specialty pharmacy, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

You will perform data entry, insurance billing, medication preparation, cashiering, and comply with state/federal regulations, infection prevention standards, and the organization's policies.

Qualifications

One year of retail pharmacy experience or equivalent.
Graduate of ASHP accredited pharmacy technician program, associate's degree, or equivalent experience.
Active Pharmacy Technician License in good standing in the state(s) in which the employee works, if required by state law.
Active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing.

Responsibilities

Process prescriptions under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Enter prescriptions into the pharmacy management system and verify accuracy.
Identify and communicate potential errors or drug/allergy contraindications.
Assist with packaging, reconstitution, compounding (if applicable), and cashiering duties.
Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and infection prevention standards.
