Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Hybrid Specialty Pharmacy Technician to support the Westwood, MA call center. You will input patient and insurance data, handle non-clinical inquiries, and assist with claim adjudication while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Answers incoming calls and assists callers with non-clinical inquiries. Resolves and ensures proper adjudication of claims. Confirm patient benefits with insurance and determine required authorizations to assist the patient with coverage of therapy prescribed.

**Job Description:****Essential Responsibilities:**1. Responsible for answering in-bound calls and assisting customers with pharmacy related services. Obtain client information by answering telephone calls; interviewing clients; verifying information. Contact patients to schedule medication deliveries and verify correct address information.2. Maintains new and existing patient profiles and enters new prescriptions into patient profiles.3. Escalates calls to pharmacist for clinical inquiries and escalates grievances to supervisor.4. Ensures patient health information is preserved per HIPAA & PHI guidelines.5. Contact insurance companies for benefit investigation and coverage eligibility.**Required Qualifications:**1. High School diploma or GED required.2. License Mass Registered Pharmacy Tech required.3. 1-3 years related work experience required.4. Previous data entry experience (minimum three months).5. Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.**Preferred Qualifications:**1. PTCB certification.2. Specialty Pharmacy experience.3.
