Qualifications

Must have completed a Pharmacy Technician Training program or equivalent.
Experience as a Pharmacy Technician, LPN, or CMA preferred.
Knowledge of prior authorization processes and patient assistance programs is a plus.
Familiarity with HIPAA and medical terminology is required.

Responsibilities

Process referrals promptly and submit supporting documentation for prior authorization.
Collaborate with departments to obtain prior authorizations and patient assistance.
Document medical necessity and ensure follow-up and proper records.
Maintain accurate intake referral data in EMR and tracking systems.
Proactively track patient refills and enrollments for assistance programs.
Protect patient information per HIPAA; support audits and inspections.
Provide excellent customer service and clear communication with stakeholders.
