Job summary

Optum is hiring a Specialty Pharmacy Technician for the North Las Vegas area. The role involves interpreting prescriptions, inputting data, and ensuring accurate and compliant medication distribution.

You will support customer service, maintain inventory per formulary, and coordinate across departments to deliver high-quality care. Qualified candidates have an active Nevada pharmacy technician license, 3+ years of pharmacy experience, and are comfortable using Windows-based computer systems.

Qualifications

• Active Nevada Pharmacy Technician license
• 3+ years of pharmacy-related experience (retail preferred)
• Proficient with Windows PC applications and basic computer systems
• Willingness to support multiple Las Vegas area sites as needed
• Able to wear a mask during working hours if required
• 18 years or older

Responsibilities

• Interpret prescriptions, create orders, input prescription data and verify reimbursement eligibility
• Provide superior customer service
• Maintain inventory aligned with formulary and ensure timely dispensing
• Ensure compliance with OBRA’90 and all legal/regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with related departments to maximize service delivery
• Adhere to all federal/state laws and Optum policies and code of conduct
