Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and 3+ years of mail order, retail or hospital pharmacy experience OR Pharm D.
• Current New York Pharmacist license and licenses in other states as required. CSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescription orders and assess appropriateness for dosage and interactions.
• Counsel patients on medication therapy and clinical questions.
• Support high-volume operations and contribute to quality improvement.
• Supervise dispensing activities and ensure accuracy of patient charts.
• Document communications with physicians, nurses and patients in the chart.
• Assist in training and supervising pharmacy staff and interns.
• Participate in performance improvement projects and ongoing education.
