Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician license and PTCB/ExCPT certification where applicable.
• Experience communicating with patients, providers and payers in writing and verbally.
• Proven accuracy in data entry and medication billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Submit timely, accurate invoices to payer for products and services.
• Determine quantities and prices for billed products and services.
• Verify authorization and required documentation is on file.
• Ensure Medicare documentation is received and submitted.
• Review reports to optimize generic substitution opportunities.
• Collect patient balances prior to dispensing or per policy.
• Prepare claims and reimbursements consistent with policy and documentation.
• Process SDL claims and review third party chargebacks promptly.
• Assist with third party audits per company policy.
• Handle referral/prescription status communications with patients and providers.
• Explain assistance programs enrollment and eligibility to patients.
