PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy in Pittsburgh, PA is hiring a Billing Operations Specialist to manage billing for payer accounts and pursue collections. The role collaborates with PBMs and payers to determine billing guidelines and daily collection activity on past-due accounts.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Hybrid schedule with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills to evaluate issues and make timely decisions.
• Detailed understanding of pharmacy billing/collections practices with all payer types.

Responsibilities

• Bills specialty pharmacy NCPDP (National Council for Prescription Drug Programs) claims.
• Makes collection calls and research on past due accounts.
• Communicates with PBM for rejections or overrides.
• Researches and processes refunds as required.
• Prepares Bad Debt Write-Offs as required.
• Reconciles member accounts as needed.
• Handles multiple tasks and meets deadlines.
