Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Pharmacist Specialty for Paragon in Plano, TX. This full-time, on-site role requires a licensed pharmacist with at least 1 year of clinic/home health experience. The position involves direct patient care, regulatory compliance, and leadership of pharmacy technicians.

Responsibilities include ensuring quality control, collaborating with prescribers, managing inventory, and supervising staff. Travel to additional worksites may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires BA/BS in Pharmacy or PharmD and 1 year pharmacist experience.
• Current unrestricted Pharmacist license in applicable state(s).
• Multi-state licensure required if providing services in multiple states.
• For Paragon and Carelon Health units, TB test completion is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains procedures for quality assurance, security and inventory of controlled substances.
• Ensures compliance with laws governing the practice of pharmacy and drug distribution.
• Engages in consultation with prescribers to provide pharmaceutical care.
• Answers questions on drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage.
• Ensures stock and supplies are ordered, stored and handled efficiently.
• Leads pharmacy technicians and delivery/equipment technicians.
• Plans and maintains packaging and labeling procedures per policy and law.
• Assists patient delivery representative with infusion equipment orders and tracking.
• May travel to different worksites as needed.
