Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a team member for the Center Store (Grocery) department in Columbia, SC. You will provide quality customer service, maintain standards, and maximize sales while minimizing shrink through proper processes.

The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, ability to learn multiple tasks, and adherence to safety guidelines. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs., work with a team, and wear the uniform as required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Maintain Specialty Merchandise levels according to plan-o-grams and control backroom inventory.
• Ensure shelf allocations follow plan-o-grams and back stock is properly maintained.
• Assist with new items, tagging, and placement per plan-o-grams.
• Perform ordering, receiving, preparation, and display per policies and guidelines.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report accidents and comply with regulations.
