Specialty Health & Science Representative, Vaccines

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for driving the sales growth of promoted products in their approved indications. The incumbent is accountable for achieving or surpassing sales results aligned with the marketing strategies within their defined territory and respective regions. This will be done by working with Specialists, targeted GPs and other health care customers (allied health professionals including nurses, pharmacists, business managers) in their respective territory to ensure best patient care and management.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Deliver effective, targeted, customer focused calls on GPs, Specialists, Nurses, Pharmacists, Business managers and other key local stakeholders while developing and maintaining long-term relationships, both from a product detailing and from an account management perspective.
  2. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of disease states and products to engage in meaningful dialogue, build credibility, and add value when calling on customers.
  3. Develop advocates and leverage influence by focusing on the science and value of our products to accelerate trial and adoption within the therapeutic area. Use endorsements to educate GPs if applicable.
  4. Develop and execute business plans aligned with marketing strategies and addressing the business priorities of the territory.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams at the regional and field level to implement integrated business plans supporting the organization’s strategy.
  6. Educate pharmacists and immunizing nurses about our products to ensure prescriptions are filled and follow up as needed.
  7. Leverage Pfizer resources with key stakeholders to implement protocols for screening and treating patients, including vaccines where appropriate.
  8. Provide regular activity and performance reports.
  9. Demonstrate Pfizer values and leadership behaviors, adhering to policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
  10. Participate in congresses and coordinate educational programs.
  11. Utilize technology and omnichannel resources to engage clients effectively.
  12. Report adverse events and product complaints as per corporate guidelines, including YRR training.

The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:

  1. Strong customer-focused selling skills in pharmaceutical and account management fields.
  2. Solid scientific knowledge with excellent communication, presentation, project management, and negotiation skills.
  3. Proven performance record.
  4. High initiative, positive attitude, team orientation, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  5. University degree in Science and/or Business with at least 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, preferably in a specialty area.
  6. Willingness to travel and participate in scientific programs, including evenings and weekends.
  7. Experience with virtual engagement platforms like Teams, Zoom, Webex.
  8. Valid driver’s license.
  9. Bilingual in English and French, written and oral.

The annual base salary ranges from $94,500 to $157,500 CAD. The salary range applies only within Canada.
