Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Bedford, MA is seeking a team member for the Specialty department. You will receive and prepare products, maintain the Specialty floor and displays, and assist with selling to support the regional Specialty vision.

No prior retail experience is required; willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment is essential. You must be able to lift 50 pounds and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Surprise and delight customers with delicious food.
• Engage in positive and proactive selling.
• Keep cases and shelves clean and restocked for appealing displays.
• Check product meets Whole Foods Market quality standards.
• Monitor spoilage and waste to minimize costs.
• Support sampling program and keep samples tidy.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Communicate market information to customers.
• Ensure logs for temperature, sanitation, and sweep are completed.
• Arrive on time, groomed, and ready for shifts and trainings.
• Provide excellent customer service and use suggestive selling techniques.
• Ensure proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising procedures.
• Follow procedures on weights, measures, health, and safety.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work/shopping environment and equipment safety.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Report safety hazards promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
