Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation in Louisiana seeks a friendly food and beverage server to greet guests, take orders, and deliver meals with a smile. You will use a computerized guest check system, handle payments, and help maintain a clean dining area while providing excellent guest service.

Six months of service experience preferred; must be able to stand/walk for long shifts and lift trays up to 40 pounds. This on-site role offers opportunities to interact with guests in a dynamic casino environment.

Qualifications

• Six months of food and beverage service experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of food and beverage service standards is preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
• Must be able to lift and carry trays weighing ~40 pounds; English communication required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and communicate with guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Receive and process food and beverage orders from guests using a computerized guest check system.
• Retrieve prepared orders from the kitchen and deliver to guests.
• Carry and balance trays or pushcarts through kitchen and dining room (approximately 20–30 pounds).
• Maintain cleanliness of all dining room areas.
• Present checks to guests and collect payment or deliver to cashier.

Receive and serve food and beverage orders from guests. May also beresponsible for collecting payment and making change for guest checks.

• Greet and communicate with guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Receive and process food and beverage orders from guests utilizing acomputerized guest check system.
• Retrieves prepared orders from kitchen area and delivers to guests.
• Carry and balance trays and/or pushcart of food and beverages throughkitchen and dining room (approximately 20 to 30 pounds).
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the dining room.
• Present check to guest. Collects payment and/or deliver to cashier.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of food and beverage service experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of food specialty or cuisine and service standards inspecific room strongly preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk for majority of shift.
• Must be able to lift and carry trays weighing approximately 40 pounds. Mustbe able to communicate in English.
• Utilize computer system for placing food and beverage orders andprocessing payments.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/orcertifications.
