Timberline Veterinary Emergency and Specialty (TVES) is a locally owned 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital in Seattle, WA. We are expanding our Surgery service and seeking a Board Certified Surgeon to participate in rounds, manage DACVS-intervention patients, and work closely with referring veterinarians and the TVES team to deliver exceptional veterinary medicine.

Tim berline Veterinary Emergency and Specialty (TVES) is a locally owned 24-hr emergency and specialty hospital located in Seattle, WA. founded by Dr. Beth Davidow (DACVECC), Dr. Laura Ahlgrim and Dr. Chris Bailey in 2023. We believe that veterinary medicine is best when it is controlled by those who provide it, and our mission is “Leading through exceptional veterinary care and sustainable employee ownership.”

We are committed to continuous improvement in the veterinary care that we provide our community, as well as finding ways to make veterinary medicine sustainable for our team. We have an amazing team of talented staff, incredible staff retention, and are looking to expand our specialty team and add a second surgeon. We currently have Critical Care, Surgery, Medical Oncology, Internal Medicine with local support for histopathology, radiology/ultrasound, and cardiology. We occupy a 21,000 sq/ft single story building and have a new Toshiba 128-slice CT scan. We have both a dedicated soft tissue and orthopedic surgery suites, and amazing technicians with excellent anesthesia skills ready to staff an efficient and busy surgery service. Our ER team is also composed of all cutting ER doctors, which means our surgeon will have minimal on-call responsibilities.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a Board Certified Surgeon who wants to help expand our Surgery service at TVES. This role involves participating in hospital rounds, managing a combination of scheduled and hospitalized patients in need of DACVS intervention, and working collaboratively with our referring veterinarians and the TVES team to provide exceptional veterinary medicine. We are looking for an individual who loves to learn and is constantly challenging and changing practices based on new evidence. With additional specialty support, we hope to expand our ability to perform clinical trials at our facility, further train and support our VTS aspiring LVTs, and continuously improve our in-hospital protocols.
