Job summary

Behavioral Health Network, Inc. is seeking a part-time clinician to provide clinical screenings, assessments, and treatment planning for Specialty Court referrals.

You will collaborate with the Specialty Court team to support placement decisions and develop processes to improve outcomes for participants. Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in a Mental Health field with licensure or eligibility within 6 months, and have 3–5 years of experience with substance use disorders and co-occurring

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a Mental Health field is required.
• Independent Licensure or eligibility for licensure within 6 months (e.g., LICSW, LMHC, LMFT).
• 3–5 years’ experience with individuals with substance use disorders is preferred.
• Experience with justice-involved adults, including emerging adults, with co-occurring disorders is preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches to SUD and co-occurring mental health issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical screenings, psychosocial assessments, and treatment planning for Specialty Court referrals.
• Serve as a clinical resource to the Specialty Court team and aid in placement decisions.
• Contribute to ongoing development of Specialty Court processes and practices.
• Educate team members on clinical perspectives and behavioral health considerations.
• Develop and maintain linkages with community-based service providers.
• Assist in determining levels of care and treatment recommendations.
• Make referrals to behavioral health, substance use, and community services.
• Engage participants and families to support treatment engagement and success.
• Maintain effective communication with multidisciplinary team members and providers.

Education

Master’s Degree in Mental Health

Independent Licensure or eligible for licensure within 6 months

What You Will Do:

• Provide clinical screenings, psychosocial assessments, and treatment planning for Specialty Court referrals as needed, consistent with Justice-Involved Emerging Adult Treatment Court Best Practice Standards.
• Serve as a clinical resource to the Specialty Court team and provide clinical perspectives to support effective assessment, treatment planning, and participant placement.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of Specialty Court processes and practices.
• Educate Specialty Court team members regarding clinical perspectives, treatment needs, and behavioral health considerations.
• Assist in developing and maintaining linkages with community-based service providers to expand resources and improve outcomes for Specialty Court participants.
• Assist the Specialty Court team in determining appropriate levels of care and treatment recommendations for participants.
• Make appropriate referrals to behavioral health, substance use, and community-based services based on participant needs.
• Engage participants and their families, in collaboration with the Specialty Court team, to support treatment engagement and maximize participant success.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary team members and community providers.

Who You Are:

• Master’s Degree in a Mental Health field required.
• Independent Licensure or eligible for licensure within 6 mos. (i.e., LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) required.
• 3-5 years’ demonstrated experience working with individuals with substance use disorders preferred.
• Experience working with justice-involved adults, including emerging adults, with co-occurring disorders strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches to substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health disorders, and recovery on young adult cohorts.
• Knowledge of treatment approaches to substance use disorders and ability to support recovery and reduce recidivism in partnership with court personnel and especially in partnership with probation (who provides supervision of court-ordered conditions).

PAY: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour

PART TIME POSITION - 20 HOURS PER WEEK
