Job summary

Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) in New York is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Medical Group. The role requires collaboration with PCPs, NPs/PAs, and a diverse care team, while maintaining EMR documentation and adherence to licensure standards.

You will support procedures, participate in daily huddles, and educate patients and families on pain management and treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current New York State RN licensure.
• BLS Certification.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
• Basic computer and EMR knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assimilate information from many sources.
• Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Support the PCP in delivery of care by gathering and documenting clinical data.
• Assist in specialty office procedures as directed.
• Participate in daily huddle to identify patient needs for upcoming appointments.
• Clinical liaison between patient and provider for questions and testing results.
• Communicate effectively with care team to coordinate plan of care.
• Support PCP during in-office procedures and examinations.
• Provide outreach and education to patients identified via quality initiatives.
• Document procedures and medications in EMR and monitor for adverse effects.
