CommonSpirit Health in the United States seeks a Speciality Clinic RN to lead a dedicated clinical team, ensure exceptional patient care, and uphold regulatory compliance while managing staffing and fiscal health.

You will perform direct patient care, conduct head-to-toe assessments across age groups, educate patients on pain management, support physicians, maintain equipment, and document nursing care in detail.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, upon hire.
  • Registered Nurse licensed in KY, upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR certification within 14 days.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and evaluate outcomes, consulting with specialists as needed and adjusting nursing care processes for optimal patient care.
  • Perform head-to-toe assessments across pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and general patient populations.
  • Assess and reassess pain; educate patients and families on pain management techniques.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac monitoring and identify dysrhythmias.
  • Assist physicians with office procedures; maintain medical and surgical asepsis.
  • Maintain medical equipment; disinfect and sterilize instruments.
  • Answer calls professionally; refer patient issues to physicians and schedule appointments.
  • Maintain accurate nursing documentation including histories, conditions, treatments and changes.
  • Treat patients and families with respect and dignity, addressing psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and spiritual needs, and liaising among staff and providers.
  • Demonstrate growth and development knowledge to provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan.
  • Interpret patient data to identify age-specific needs and care plans.
  • Collaborate with patient and family in care planning and engage them in decision-making.
  • Coordinate with insurance to obtain prescription authorizations promptly.
  • Develop teaching plans based on learning needs and evaluate effectiveness, including family participation.
  • Maintain knowledge of medications and correct administration by patient age and condition.

  • - Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and family. Functions as liaison between administration, patients, physicians and other healthcare providers.

  • - Formulates a teaching plan based on identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning; includes family in teaching, as appropriate.
  • - Maintains current knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and his/her clinical condition.
