Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Pembroke Pines, FL, seeks an experienced registered nurse to provide direct patient care in a designated specialty unit. You will ensure regulatory compliance, monitor equipment and supplies, and plan and evaluate care based on patient assessments to optimize outcomes.

The role requires one year of nursing experience and advanced credentials (ACLS/BLS/PALS/NRP as applicable, plus fetal monitoring and chemotherapy credentials for oncology areas).

Qualifications

• One (1) year nursing experience required.
• ONCC chemotherapy and biotherapy provider certification required for RNs administering chemotherapy.
• APHON chemotherapy and biotherapy provider card within 12 months of hire for pediatric chemotherapy administration.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required for specified units including ICU/ED/PACU/Endo/Tele/OB.
• PALS required for most pediatric areas; NRP for NICU if coming from non-NICU background.
• Fetal Monitoring certification or training prior to completion of orientation.
• RN Fellowship programs require one year of independent practice and ACLS/PALS.
• Newly licensed RNs have six months to obtain ACLS and/or PALS.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in a specialty unit per scope and standards.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and monitor usage of systems, equipment, and supplies.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on assessments to optimize outcomes.
• Document and communicate patient conditions; manage staff relations and scheduling.
• Oversee recruitment, payroll, and student engagements when applicable.
• Address patient and family needs and resolve complaints to support care quality.
