The Residency Registered Nurse 2 – Specialty (U) at University of Miami Health System is dedicated to delivering patient-family centered care with cultural competence, evidence-based safety standards, and high-quality service. You will assess patients, coordinate care with physicians, prepare for exams, administer medications, and support discharge planning while upholding HIPAA and regulatory

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• BSN preferred; ASN with plan to complete BSN within timeline
• Florida RN license; ACLS and BLS from American Heart Association required
• Excellent patient experience skills and ability to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of medical terminology and health and safety guidelines

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and document nursing care
• Review diagnostics and report changes in condition
• Consult with physicians and other health professionals on care plans
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures; provide treatment information
• Administer medications and maintain accurate records
• Assist with discharge planning and care transitions
