Responsibilities

• Manages and directs multiple medium to large-sized projects within a department or business unit.
• Manages all activities leading to the successful completion of projects including project scoping, timelines, cost estimates, design, vendor management, and risk management.
• Develops and maintains parameters for project requirements including tracking and issue management.
• Provides direction to contractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Coordinates input from and participation with various other departments within the Company as needed to meet project objectives, and resolves issues to ensure successful outcomes
• Analyzes and determines regulatory impacts and requirements of the project.
• Builds business cases and justifications for projects designed to improve business processes and/or efficiency.
• Provides team/project goals and evaluates performance.
• Researches and evaluates available contractors and consultants.
• Prepares, negotiates, and approves or recommends approval of contracts and contract changes.
• Manages related budget analysis, and prepares budget forecasts.
• May be called upon to testify before and/or prepare supporting documentation for government agencies concerning cost estimates.

High Level Overview

This role manages programs within client's Wildfire Mitigation Program (WMP) which is part of the General Rate Case (GRC) and regulated by CA Office of Energy Safety (OEIS) and the CPUC.

This role manages and advances programs that implement backup power solutions for sensitive critical facilities in the high fire threat district, including the customer engagement, installation oversight, financial management, vendor management, compliance/regulatory management, and legal/risk management. In addition, this role manages the ongoing oversight of completed projects that include Community Resource Centers (CRCs) that use client-provided backup power to remain energized during PSPS outages as required by CPUC mandates. This role is also responsible for integrating new technologies and offerings that advance company's distributed energy resource management towards enhanced grid utilization.

Description

• Level II: 2-5 Years of Experience.
• Provide high-level leadership and direction for large-scale, complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities. Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, managing budgets, timelines, risks, and resources to achieve desired outcomes.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration, building consensus among stakeholders across departments and external partners.
• Anticipate and mitigate potential project risks and challenges, implementing solutions to maintain project momentum and success.
• Deliver regular updates and presentations to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment on project progress and key milestones.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, integrating innovative methodologies and technologies to enhance project delivery and efficiency. Oversee the adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices throughout all phases of project execution.
