Job summary

KinderCare in Holland, Michigan is seeking an enthusiastic early childhood educator to implement our curriculum and meet State Pre-K requirements in a way that fits each child’s needs while keeping them safe and engaged.

You will partner with parents and center staff to support enrollment, accreditation, and ongoing engagement, and you will cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Active CDA Credential or eligibility for NAEYC/state Pre-K candidacy.
• Meet state Pre-K guidelines for the role.
• Proficient with basic computer use and able to engage with children visually and verbally.
• Strong English communication with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Implement KinderCare's curriculum, and State Pre-K requirements, in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child; create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
• Partner and communicate with parents, in your shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners

Required Skills and Experience

• Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively
• Possess active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC and state Pre-K candidacy requirements
• Meet state specific Pre-K guidelines for the role
• Physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
• Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
