Scituate Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Aide to work closely with designated teachers to support students in the Special Education program. The role involves assisting with assessments, materials preparation, and setting up assistive technology under teacher supervision.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to work with students in a tutorial setting, following directions from the Special Education Teacher and building Principal.
Building Principal
The Special Education Aide works closely with and under the direction and supervision of the designated Special Education or General Education Teacher(s) for the benefit of students in the Special Education program.
High school diploma or GED
Ability to work with students in a tutorial capacity necessary. Ability to follow directions of the Special Education Teacher and/or the building Principal essential.
Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.
Experience working with special education population
This is a 10 month based on the school year.
