Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare in Conover is hiring experienced Specialized Care Assistants in Sherrills Ford, Newton and surrounding areas. Specialized Care Assistant / Experienced Caregiver.

We seek dependable, compassionate caregivers with hands‑on personal care experience who are comfortable supporting clients with higher care needs and who have consistent availability. Shifts include 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, plus 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, weekends and PRN.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on caregiving experience, especially with higher levels of care.
• Dementia/Alzheimer's care, hospice or end-of-life support, Parkinson's care, stroke recovery support, cancer care.
• Comfortable providing one-on-one care in a client's home following established Care Plans.
• Criminal background check and drug screening required.
• Verification of required credentials and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on personal care and assistance with ADLs.
• Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
• Mobility and walking assistance.
• Transfers within the caregiver's authorized scope.
• Dementia and memory-care support.
• Support for clients with chronic conditions or increased care needs.
• Meal preparation.
• Light housekeeping.
• Medication reminders.
• Companionship and safety supervision.
• Transportation and errands when authorized.
• Following the client's individualized Care Plan.
• Observing and promptly reporting changes in a client's condition or needs to the office.

We are seeking dependable, compassionate, experienced caregivers who are comfortable supporting clients with more complex care needs and who have consistent availability.

This position is best suited for experienced caregivers who are confident in providing hands‑on personal care and supporting clients who may require a higher level of assistance.

Shifts We Are Recruiting For

• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• Cancer care
• Mobility limitations
• Fall‑risk clients
• Extended‑hour or overnight care
• Other higher‑needs home‑care assignments

Applicants should be comfortable providing one‑on‑one care in a client's home and following established Care Plans and agency procedures.
