Your Impact
As a Technology and Data Risk Specialist, you will lead governance and risk management programs to enhance the firm’s ability to manage and mitigate risks effectively.
You will create and refine firm guidance documents, such as policies and standards, ensuring they are current, robust, and aligned with security requirements.
You will ensure training content accurately reflects these policies, equipping employees with necessary knowledge to adhere to best practices. Maintaining comprehensive guidance and training programs will foster a culture of security awareness and compliance.
Deep understanding of technology and data risk management will be essential. You will identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to the firm’s technology infrastructure and data assets.
Your expertise will enable you to develop and implement effective risk strategies to protect critical information and technology resources.
Staying abreast of emerging threats and industry best practices, you will ensure the firm's risk management framework remains robust and adaptive. Your technical skills and risk management expertise will play a key role in safeguarding the firm’s assets.
You will engage with senior leaders through interviews and workshops to identify governance and risk challenges, then oversee the development and implementation of solutions, ensuring continuous improvement and integration into operations.
Your ability to synthesize complex information and craft compelling presentations will facilitate discussions with senior leaders, communicating insights, recommendations, and solutions clearly to support strategic decision-making.
You will develop a metrics program to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of governance and risk activities, establishing KPIs aligned with organizational and regulatory goals. Collecting and analyzing data will provide insights to improve practices and mitigate risks.
Your qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, technology, data analytics, user experience design, risk management, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in risk management, product management, information security, technology, or change/communication
- Ability to communicate security and risk concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; entrepreneurial and collaborative attitude
- Proven project management skills, capable of driving workstreams amidst competing priorities
- Ability to identify gaps and develop clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders
- Leverage expertise to analyze trends and provide insightful recommendations
- Ownership mentality and initiative to contribute to broader efforts or special projects
