Job summary

Primient is seeking a Specialist, Supply & Inventory Planner to align short-term production plans with forecasts, orders and inventory targets across our US facilities. The role collaborates with Supply Chain Planning, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure on-time delivery.

You will manage material shipments, optimize FIFO, and monitor KPIs while working with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP. A strong data-analysis capability and cross-functional communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in supply chain, production planning, purchasing, or customer service.
  • Proficient with large data sets in Excel and Access required.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage production schedules for facilities to meet target inventories based on the Consensus Demand Plan and made-to-order products, accounting for downtime.
  • Schedule shipments of base materials to meet monthly production and demand plans; coordinate import materials to support replenishment in North America.
  • Monitor KPI performance and respond to ATP sales orders to achieve timely order fulfillment.
  • Oversee warehouse inventories to maintain FIFO, address shortages and resolve blocked or aging materials.
  • Identify risks affecting production or inventory levels and escalate as needed.
  • Coordinate with Demand Planning and Product Managers to ensure alignment with monthly targets.
  • Approve customer orders based on availability, forecast, and lead times.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and Sales to resolve quantity or delivery issues.

Collaborating across supply chain, sales, customer service, manufacturing and external suppliers/vendors, this role ensures seamless execution of production schedules for the 0–3-month window to meet customer needs and operational goals.Key responsibilitiesProduction Planning : Develop and manage production schedules for each facility to meet target inventories based on the Consensus Demand Plan and made-to-order products, while accounting for planned downtime. Communicate planned production rates and packaging requirements to Supply Chain and Operations.Material Management: Schedule shipments of base materials to other locations to meet monthly production and demand plans, and p urchase imported materials from Brazil to support replenishment sales in North America, utilizing the Consensus File.Performance Metrics and Reporting: Adhere to department key performance indicators (KPIs) and responding to available to promise (ATP) sales orders to achieve a 95% response time goal. Ensure timely materialplacement in warehouses to minimize scheduling issue failures (PXO FATP). Inventory Oversight: Manage warehouse inventories to ensure first in first out (FIFO) compliance, address , short pallets, and resolve blocked or aging materials. Minimize and reduce inventory of unwanted materials through collaboration with Sales, Customer Service and Quality.Risk Identification and Management: Identify risks that may impact production or inventory levels, escalating issues to managers and the business as needed.Demand Alignment: Communicate issues to Demand Planning that could jeopardize meeting planned monthly production targets. Work closely with Product Managers to ensure a smooth and consistent pull of contracted products by analyzing customer data.Order Management: Approve customer orders based on product availability, forecast, inventory levels, and lead times.Collaboration and Communication: Communicating with Customer Service and Sales to address any issues affecting quantities or delivery dates for customers. Provide input to and align with the Global Supply Planning Manager on replenishment forecasts.Troubleshooting and Process Improvement: Troubleshooting production issues and prioritizing production during production disruptions and productivity issues.About YouMinimum education, High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field is preferred3+ years experience in supply chain, production planning, purchasing, or customer serviceDemonstrated ability working with large data sets with Excel, Access, etc. (required)Experience in ERP and MRP systems, such as SAP (preferred)Experience in Inventory management (preferred)Certifications in APICS CSCP, Six Sigma, and Lean Management (preferred)Excellent communication skillsTotal RewardsThe annual pay range estimated for this position is $68,768.00 - $85,960.00 and is bonus eligible.Please note that while this range reflects the full spectrum of compensation available for this role, individual compensation will be determined based on several factors including your experience, skills, and alignment with the role's responsibilities.
