Millennium Physician Group, Lakewood Ranch, FL, is seeking an experienced Patient Care Specialist III for the front office of a primary care clinic. You’ll manage scheduling, multi-line phones, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out while maintaining accurate EHR records in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

As the first point of contact, you’ll ensure a smooth patient experience, coordinate referrals and authorizations, and support daily provider workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of healthcare front office experience, preferably in primary care.
• Proficient in scheduling, multi-line phones, and insurance verification.
• Experience with patient registration and front-office workflows, HIPAA compliant.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, and check in patients; verify insurance and collect copayments.
• Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and support daily provider workflows.
• Check patients in/out, manage referrals and authorizations, and handle medical records requests.
• Perform core front-office tasks: scanning, faxing, uploading documents, and maintaining accurate EHR data.
• Coordinate scheduling across providers to maintain smooth patient flow.
• Review accounts, resolve basic billing issues, and collaborate with billing.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and provide friendly, professional service.

Patient Care Specialist III - Front Office (Primary Care Clinic) Location: 6731 Professional Pkwy W, Suite 100, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34240 Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-4:00pm Lunch: 1 hour Pay: $22-$23/hr Experience Required: 3+ years in healthcare (Primary Care strongly preferred) Environment: Friendly, team-oriented, fast-paced clinic supporting 4 providers.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Patient Care Specialist III with strong primary care front-office experience to join our Lakewood Ranch clinic. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys multitasking, and can confidently manage scheduling, phones, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out. You’ll be the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in ensuring smooth clinic operations and an exceptional patient experience.

A Day in the Life

What You Bring

• 3+ years of healthcare experience (Primary Care front office required)
• Strong experience with: Scheduling
• Multi-line phones
• Insurance verification

• Experience in value-based care preferred
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume clinic
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Team-player mindset with reliable attendance
• Familiarity with EHR systems; Athena experience is a plus

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Compensation Range

Compensation Range: $22.00 to $33.00 The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
