Job summary

Applied Maintenance Supplies and Solutions, a subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies, is hiring a District Service Representative in Crestwood, IL. You will survey customer sites, identify growth opportunities, and support vendor managed inventory programs while delivering excellent customer service.

This on-site role requires 6 months+ customer service experience, strong data entry and math skills, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of proven customer service experience.
• Accurate data entry skills, basic math and mechanical aptitude.
• Use of proper English grammar, written and verbal.
• Able to travel out of town weekly.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend and lift 50 lbs+.

Responsibilities

At Applied Maintenance Supplies and Solutions, a subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies, the District Service Representative role has an immediate impact on our field sales performance and in customer satisfaction. This is a wonderful opportunity for a strong customer service individual with good people skills, some knowledge of industrial-automotive products, and an interest in career growth!

As an Applied Field Service Representative, you will perform a variety of duties including surveying customer sites, identify potential growth opportunities, and maintaining stock areas. You’ll join a tight-knit team serving loyal, brand new customers, and long-term customers. You will use your strong customer service skills when interacting with customers at the field sales level.

Responsibilities

• Travel : 80%-90%
• Map out, arrange, and organize customers shop locations to properly administer our vendor managed inventory programs.
• Communicate with customers to gain potential growth opportunities and product line expansion.
• Provide feedback and suggestions from customers to management and sales team.
• Take inventory at customer sites.
• Work from daily schedule, work orders, verbal and written instructions.

Requirements

• 6 months+ proven customer service experience.
• Accurate data entry skills, math & mechanical aptitude, basic reading skills.
• Use of proper English grammar, written and verbal.
• Able to travel out of town on a weekly basis.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend and regular lifting of 50 lbs. or more.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• This position is not eligible for relocation benefits and is expected to be performed on site.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US. We are not able to offer sponsorship of work visas for this position.

Preferred

• Knowledge of automotive and or industrial distribution products.
