Job summary

BENTELER is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator in Louisiana to support reliability, safety, and continuous improvement within the Production division. You will help plan and execute maintenance, coordinate repairs, and participate in Lean initiatives while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The role requires 3+ years in industrial maintenance coordination, familiarity with SAP, and strong communication skills to collaborate with hourly staff and management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with technical education preferred.
• Experience coordinating industrial maintenance activities is essential.
• Knowledge of SAP Maintenance module is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of work procedures, PMs and LOTO.
• Participate in 5S and Lean programs and CI activities.
• Practice root cause analysis to solve process issues.
• Act as safety advocate and follow company policies.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance using SAP.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans for area of responsibility.
• Assign daily maintenance activities and support personnel & contractors.
• Assist planning weekly and yearly outages.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in development of work procedures, PM’s and LOTO.


• Participate in plant 5S and Lean manufacturing programs as well as any and all continuous improvement activities.


• Practice “Root Cause Analysis” to determine solutions to problematic process issues.


• Be an active safety advocate.


• Follow all company rules and policies.


• Coordinate effective repairs and maintenance on equipment utilizing SAP.


• Develop and implement preventive maintenance program for area of responsibility.


• Assign daily maintenance activities.


• Provide hands on assistance as needed for maintenance personnel and contractors.


• Assist in planning and coordinating weekly and yearly outages.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification required


• AA/AS, technical degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.


• Minimum three (3) years experience coordinating industrial maintenance activities.


• SAP Maintenance module experience.


• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.


• Seamless Pipe Mill experience greatly desired.


• Strong Safety Awareness and experience.


• LOTO experience.


• Able to maintain an effective working relationship with hourly employees, as well as coworkers and management.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel.


• Abilitiy to read and describe mechanical blueprints and hydraulic schematics.


• Strong hydraulic background (Servo valves and High-pressure systems).


• Knowledge of different alignment methods and when they are needed.


• Knowledge and ability to use precision tools when required like filler guages, torque wrench, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicator.
