Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid New York Driver’s License with the ability to obtain and maintain a NY CDL-BP and then obtain CDL-A with towing endorsement.
• EPA 609 certification is required.
• Able to read and interpret instruction sheets, blueprints and circuit diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze defective, unserviceable or deteriorating conditions of units, parts and appurtenances to determine the extent of needed adjustments, repairs and replacements.
• Remove, repair/overhaul or replace vehicle and equipment components such as engines, transmissions, clutches, starters, water pumps and accessories.
• Read and interpret instruction sheets, blueprints and circuit schematic diagrams.
• Perform general acetylene cutting/welding and brazing or soldering.
• Explain and demonstrate job details, methods and procedures when directed; perform duties with speed and accuracy.
• Exercise judgment relative to unsafe and irregular conditions; protect company property during job performance.
