Job summary

Leviton in Melville, NY seeks a marketing professional responsible for product development, launch support, and post-launch marketing activities. You will conduct market research, identify communication opportunities, and maintain marketing infrastructure with a focus on channel activity and collaboration with sales and specification teams.

The role requires BA in Marketing or Business Administration with at least three years in marketing, preferably with MBA.

Qualifications

• MBA in Marketing preferred.
• Minimum three years experience in a marketing or marketing related position.

Responsibilities

• Provide market research in assigned segment(s), identifying and interpreting key business trends.
• Identify communication opportunities: trade organizations, shows, publications, meetings and conferences.
• Update and improve Leviton’s marketing infrastructure, including databases or internal/external websites.
• Develop and design marketing literature (catalogs, brochures, ads, specs) and other collateral.
• Coordinate graphic production or proposals and marketing literature.
• Work with internal business units for monthly launch communications.
• Maintain status updates for assigned projects.
• Ensure compliance with brand and identity guidelines.
• Collaborate with key accounts to ensure electronic communications are received.
• Oversee electronic banner ad development and web communications with channel partners.

About the role

This position is responsible for a variety of marketing activities related to product development & launch and after launch marketing support for sales, specifications and channel activity.

Responsibilities

• Provide market research in assigned segment(s), regarding identifying and interpreting key business trends and findings unique to the industry including spending, technology, applications


• Identify communication opportunities: trade organizations & shows, publications, meetings and conferences Update and improve upon Leviton;s marketing infrastructure, which may include a database system, or Leviton's internal and external website


• Participate as project team members to help develop and continuously analyze operational processes to find and implement new efficiencies


• Aid in the development and design marketing literature (catalogs, brochures, bulletins, product specification sheets, advertisements, general public relations, and letters) and all other marketing collateral developed to support marketing initiatives


• May coordinate graphic production or proposals, projects and marketing literature


• Work closely with Leviton's internal business units for monthly launch communications


• Maintain general awareness of working status for assigned projects


• Ensure compliance of brand and identity guidelines for developed collateral


• Additional Responsibilities:


• Work closely with key accounts ensuring electronic communications are received


• Oversee electronic banner ad development and web communications with channel partners

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with a network of contractors, distributors, specifiers, sales management, manufacturer's representatives and communicate effectively


• Must be able to coordinate with Product Management and Marketing Communications to develop creative, differentiated, and effective marketing and selling tools


• Must have the ability to create new ideas, and develop tactical plans that support division strategy


• Must have the ability to create messages and communications vehicles to effectively present the divisions message to the target audience


• Must be creative, resourceful, able to think independently and capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously


• Must develop and execute creative solutions to assigned tasks


• Must have strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint and Graphic software familiarity

Education & Experience

• BA in Marketing or Business Administration required


• MBA in Marketing preferred


• Minimum three years experience in a marketing or marketing related position
