Coinbase is seeking a Specialist, Market Operations to provide frontline operational support for the Coinbase Derivatives Exchange (CDE) and Deribit. This role runs 24/7, requiring real-time issue resolution, cross-functional collaboration, and deployment testing to protect production environments.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Information Systems, Economics, Finance, or a technical field.
• 1 year of experience in financial markets operations or a technical operations role.
• Demonstrated product and operational knowledge of listed futures or options.
• Ability to diagnose and articulate complex technical problems to diverse audiences.
• Experience delivering multi-channel support (voice, email, chat).
• Familiarity with FIX protocol, network protocols, SQL, and CRM tools.

Responsibilities

• Own real-time functional and technical support for electronic trading, clearing systems, and exchange applications across CDE and Deribit.
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries related to exchange functionality, market events, connectivity, product schedules, and business technology.
• Provide front-line support for internal and external investigations tied to exchange operations, including error trade analysis and resolution.
• Coordinate with product and development teams to launch new products, implement platform updates, and execute deployment testing in pre-production environments.
• Support onboarding and ongoing operational enablement of clients and vendors across both exchanges, including prediction markets and event contracts listed on CDE.
• Identify, document, and recommend operational process improvements aligned with business objectives and platform growth.

As a Specialist, Market Operations, youll provide frontline operational support across two exchanges: the Coinbase Derivatives Exchange (CDE) and Deribit. This team runs 24/7, keeping trading, clearing, and connectivity systems healthy for clients and internal stakeholders. Youll troubleshoot issues in real time, coordinate cross-functional resolution for complex problems, and execute deployment testing to protect production environments.

What youll do:

Required Skills and Experience:

• BA/BS in Information Systems, Economics, Finance, or a technical field, with 1 years of experience in financial markets operations or a technical operations role.

• Demonstrated product and operational knowledge of listed futures or options, including hands-on experience with error trade analysis and resolution.

• Proven ability to diagnose and articulate complex technical problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience delivering multi-channel support (voice, email, chat) with documented ability to maintain quality under high-volume, time-sensitive conditions.

• Familiarity with prediction markets, event contracts, FIX protocol, network protocols, SQL, or CRM tools such as Salesforce and JIRA is a plus.

• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus):

$112,965-$132,900 USD
