• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent.
• Experience with machine vision systems (COGNEX, Keyence, etc.).
• Automation experience in manufacturing settings.

Responsibilities

• Support cross-functional team through New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
• Deliver NPI artifacts on time: DFMA, PFMEA, process flow diagrams, manufacturing plans, capability models.
• Aid operations in assembling prototype and validation builds for new products.
• Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and procedures.
• Design and implement electro-mechanical solutions to improve operations.
• Support programming, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated equipment and PLC systems.
• Investigate production issues and perform root cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Train engineers and technicians on processes and standards.

Job Description:

The JROC New Product Introduction (NPI) team is seeking a driven and talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a proactive, self-motivated professional with a strong background in electro-mechanical manufacturing processes, tooling design, and project management.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in bringing new products to life by partnering with cross-functional teams to successfully transition products from prototype into production. You will help shape manufacturing strategies and implement solutions that support quality, safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, takes initiative, and is passionate about solving complex manufacturing challenges while driving program success.

Essential Functions:

• Support a cross-functional team through the New Product Introduction process.
• On-time completion of NPI deliverables, including: DFMA, PFMEA, process flow diagrams, manufacturing plans, and capability models.
• Work with operations to assemble prototype and engineering validation builds for new products.
• Create, maintain, and improve process documentation, work instructions, and procedures.
• Design and implement electro-mechanical solutions to improve manufacturing operations.
• Support programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated equipment and PLC-controlled systems.
• Investigate production issues and establish root cause and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methods.
• Train engineers and technicians on processes, systems, and standards.
• Monitor and analyze process data, identify trends, and recommend improvements for new and existing product lines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or graduate degree with 2+ years of experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Willingness to work and learn in a fast-paced production environment
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office products
• Experience with IPC workmanship standards, including IPC-610 & J-STD-001
• Competency with 3d Modeling software, CREO preferred
• Lean Six Sigma green belt or equivalent
• Experience with machine visions systems (COGNEX, Keyence, etc.,)
• Automation experience
• Interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work in a cross functional team

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $73,000 - $135,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
