Job summary

USPL is seeking a Lean Six Sigma Specialist in North Brunswick, NJ to lead continuous improvement initiatives and support the ERP system (SYSPRO). You will drive Lean projects, mentor Green Belts, and coordinate with regional teams to achieve budget goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least three years of experience in manufacturing environments or consulting firms engaged in continuous improvement processes.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies applied to complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Define continuous improvement targets with management and report performance against operational objectives.

  • Report on KPIs for quality, productivity, cost, and service delivery.
  • Network with internal and external resources to support lean projects.
  • Develop training materials for Lean processes and principles.
  • Provide education and support to employees on Lean principles and techniques.
  • Ensure communication of project status and coordination of Lean activities.
  • Support the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring project goals and metrics.
  • Assist in the implementation of Lean programs from initiation to completion.
  • Provide input and feedback to leadership.

Job Description

The Lean Six Sigma Specialist will support the implementation and continuous improvement of operational standards and Lean manufacturing principles to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve budgetary goals. This role will collaborate closely with regional and corporate teams to ensure alignment with company policies.

The incumbent will support the day-to-day operations of the ERP system (SYSPRO) and other organizational databases. The Lean Six Sigma Specialist will communicate and coordinate with system and end users to diagnose and resolve reported issues in a timely manner to ensure the business continues to run smoothly.

The Specialist will support and implement continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma and Agile methodologies, assist Green Belts in the development of their projects, and support sponsors and management in identifying and prioritizing opportunities for improvement. Through hands-on involvement, this role will contribute to building a mindset of continuous improvement across the organization.

Education & Qualification:
  • Bachelor ’ s degree in Business, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • At least three years of experience in manufacturing environments or consulting firms engaged in continuous improvement processes.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies applied to complex projects.
Certifications, Licenses, Credentials:
  • Lean Six Sigma certification required (Green Belt required).
  • Black Belt certification required; if not currently held, the employee will be required to obtain certification through the Company-sponsored program within (12 – 18 months) of placement in the role.
