Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking application developers to design, develop, and integrate software for its natural gas businesses. The role involves learning new IT and business skills, collaborating with IT and business users, and delivering robust software solutions in a dynamic environment.

The position emphasizes experience with Java or Groovy, SQL Server (T-SQL), and SSRS, with opportunities to contribute to existing and new projects across energy operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant job experience.
• Proficient in Java and/or Groovy.
• Experience with relational databases, especially SQL Server (T-SQL).
• Experience with SSRS for reporting.

Summary: Energy Transfer is looking for application developers to work on existing and new custom application development and Integration. Energy Transfer leverages various technologies in the support of line-of-business applications for our Interstate and Intrastate Natural Gas business users.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be willing to learn new IT and Business Skills regularly

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant job experience
• General application development skills in any, but not necessarily all of the following areas:
• JAVA and/or Groovy
• Relational Database management systems, primarily SQL Server (T-SQL)
• SSRS

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

• The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
• The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
• The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Natural Gas Pipelineor Energy Industry work experience is a plus

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• Usually, normal office working conditions.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
