Job summary

First Solar in Trinity, AL is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Control professional responsible for accurate SAP transactions, shipment processing, and updating internal tracking systems. The role emphasizes compliance with Sox controls and import/export regulations while supporting continuous improvement and cycle count activities.

You will work under the Manager of Inventory Control, handle physical inventories, defend against variances, process outbound shipments, and ensure timely delivery

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent required.
• College coursework, certification, or formal training highly desired.
• Minimum of 3 years of warehouse (shipping/receiving) experience required.
• Cycle counting experience is beneficial.
• SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for resulting inventory and data entry reports and their accuracy.
• Assists with physical inventories and monthly cycle count activities.
• Analyzes and investigates inventory variances; implement actions to reduce/eliminate variances.
• Assists with finished goods and WIP inventories activities.
• Processes outbound shipment requests.
• Prioritizes shipment requests based on delivery dates.
• Processes offsite warehouse shipment requests and updates tracking systems.
• Supports creation of shipping export/import documents.
• Supports continuous improvement activities.
• Serves as back-up to other Inventory Control positions.
• Maintains housekeeping and safety practices.
• Communicates effectively and fosters teamwork.

Essential Responsibilities

Reporting Relationships

• This position reports to the Manager- Inventory Control.
• This position will not have direct reports.

Travel

• No travel outside the First Solar worksite is required.

Estimated Salary Range

• $18.89-$26.44 Hourly.

• Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day.

• Will lift up to 58 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work instruction.
• Will lift up to 37 pounds on a frequent basis.

• Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.

• May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
• May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
• Must comply with all safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including, but not limited to: steel-toed shoes, cut-resistant gloves, jackets, aprons &/or arm guards, safety glasses or goggles, hearing protection & respirators) as a condition of employment and continued employment (requires little or no facial hair).
