Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Vendor Master Data Compliance Specialist to govern vendor master data processes and support onboarding/remediation activities. The role partners with vendors, banks, and third parties to validate documentation and resolve compliance issues.

The position operates in a hybrid model with 3 in-person days at core locations (Salisbury, NC; Quincy, MA; Carlisle, PA; Scarborough, ME) and 2 remote days, and requires US work authorization for full-time employment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in data management, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4 years in master data management, internal controls, or financial operations.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to data accuracy and timing.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal, with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of principles and standards; ability to apply them in practice.
  • Ability to identify issues, assess risk, and propose solutions.

The Vendor Master Data Compliance Specialist plays a critical role in leading, governing, and optimizing vendor master data processes. This includes ownership of compliance workflows, validation controls, audit readiness, and end-to-end vendor data lifecycle management. The specialist partners with external vendors, banking institutions, and third-party service providers to validate documentation, resolve compliance issues, and support onboarding or remediation activities.

This role works cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure vendor data is compliant, accurate, and reliably supports downstream financial and operational processes. This role acts as the gatekeeper for the review and publication of all vendor master data (product vendors, indirect vendors, real estate, tax, legal, freight, etc.).

Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment.

Essential job descriptions:
  • Enforces vendor master data compliance processes to ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Reviews, validates, and approves vendor master records for set‑ups, changes and inactivation to prevent fraud, risk and non‑compliant records.
  • Responsible for quality control of vendor master data, including accuracy of banking, tax, address, contact and legal entity information. Resolves discrepancies across vendor attribution.
  • Ensures all required compliance documentation is collected, validated and retained in accordance with legal, tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Completes third‑party validations through GIACT (banking), TIN Check (tax ID) and Dun & Bradstreet (credit rating).
  • Performs audit on critical attributes within VMDM application to ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Completes and audits ERP enrichment to ensure completion of vendor set‑up and maintenance updates from VMDM.
  • Supports audit and compliance activities by maintaining documentation, ensuring process adherence and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Responsible for VMD/FVM vendor master workflows and timelines to ensure efficient processing to meet SLAs and required segregation of duties.
  • Partners with the Master Data Management Support team to resolve vendor and business partner data entry violations.
  • Acts as a mentor and subject‑matter expert, developing team capabilities through training on master data management principles, data tools, analytical methods, and quality assurance practices.
  • Performs additional enterprise‑support duties as required to advance organizational priorities, uphold ADUSA values, and strengthen the master data management framework across all business units.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in data management, Information Systems, or related business field or equivalent relevant experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in master data management, internal controls, or financial operations
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, especially related to data accuracy and timing.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders effectively.
  • Complete understanding and ability to apply principles and standards. Knowledge of industry practices.
  • Ability to identify issues, assess risk, and proactively recommend solutions.
  • Sets objectives for own job with the understanding of how output would affect, and impact other job areas related to own job.
  • Contributes and provides input to the development of operational area, (e.g. work unit/project team) goals within the context of own job area.
  • Plans and schedules workload to ensure completion of assignments. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting compliance and processing requirements.
  • Demonstrated success working in a fast‑paced environment handling multiple priorities with aggressive deadlines.
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our values.
  • Requires travel - typically 10-20%
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Vendor Master Data knowledge
  • Internal controls/process improvement background
  • Experience in grocery retail/category management
  • Familiarity with Ahold Delhaize USA systems and processes

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $63,440-$95,160

IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $72,880 - $109,320

Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
