Job summary

Sysmex America, Inc. seeks a Specialist I, Technical Support - LATAM to diagnose instrument issues via remote access and data logs, guiding customers through root-cause troubleshooting. The role requires strong English/Spanish skills and knowledge of medical instrumentation.

Responsibilities include maintaining product knowledge, adhering to SOPs, and providing written and verbal bilingual support across LATAM customers. A 2nd shift in the LATAM-oriented region may apply.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 1–5 years in a medical background is a plus.
• ASCP Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician certification preferred.
• English and Spanish proficiency a must. Portuguese or French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot instrument issues via remote access and data/log files.
• Provide bilingual Spanish/English technical support to Mexico, Chile, and Colombia.
• Follow SOPs, escalate when needed, and dispatch FSR based on severity.
• Document calls in the CRM with accurate history for trends.

Responsibilities

We currently have a great opportunity for a Specialist I, Technical Support - LATAM (40 hours - 2nd Shift). Primary responsibility is to identify through telecommunications dialog and available data/log files via remote access, the exact problem with SAI supported instruments. Assist customers to effectively troubleshoot for the “root” cause of the problem.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain product knowledge on all SAI supported instruments in order to analyze and identify instrument problems.
• Adhere to all SAI and department standard operating procedures and documentation requirements to meet regulatory and ISO guidelines. Such as, escalated calls when appropriate and monitor TAC voicemails, auto generated errors, dispatches and overflow calls.
• Resolve problem(s) over the phone by instructing/guiding customers through detailed corrective actions.
• Provide bilingual (Spanish/English) technical support-both written and verbal-to customers in Mexico, Chile, and Colombia.
• Follow up with customers when necessary to confirm resolution of problems.
• Make decisions about when to dispatch an FSR based on the severity of the problem and customer interactions. When necessary utilize the tools provided in the CRM system to dispatch the appropriate FSR.
• Utilize SAI phone system for proper tracking of representative state.
• Utilize remote access tolls to assist with troubleshooting of presented problems and for coaching customers through resolution.
• Capture full documentation of all calls utilizing the SAI CRM with appropriate codes to ensure accurate history for reporting trends and corrective actions.
• Other duties as assigned.

English and Spanish proficiency a must. Portuguese or French a plus.

Physical Risk:

Regular exposure to risk that may require alertness, but with minimal precautions.

Physical Demands:

Light physical effort. Routine handling of objects up to 20 pounds; prolonged (at least 50% of time) sitting, standing, keyboard or CRT work. May require periods of moderate discomfort due to noise, dust, lighting and/or other conditions.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 1-5 years experience in medical background is a plus, which may include experience in the Armed Forces.
• ASCP Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician certification preferred.
• English and Spanish proficiency a must. Portuguese or French a plus
• All MS skills and some interface skills
• Be able to explain and interpret complex information that requires patience and understanding.
• Ability to make recommendations and defining actions in a clear and concise way.
• Ability to apply knowledge from various disciplines, and provide directions that lead to solutions.
• Ability to problem-solve comprehensive research, investigation and analysis.

Salary Range:

The hourly pay range for this role is $30.00-$35.00 per hour. Shift differential and time and a half for overtime also apply. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The total compensation package for this position also includes a choice of health care plan (medical, vision, and dental insurance), an annual incentive bonus, paid time off, parental leave, bereavement leave, and a 401(K) for eligible employees.
