Job summary

Sentry BioPharma Services Inc. is seeking a Building Management System (BMS) Specialist I to ensure the ongoing operation and regulatory compliance of our validated BMS software within GMP storage and distribution environments.

You will work with Facilities, Operations, IT and Quality Assurance to maintain system integrity, support validation activities, and drive continuous improvement in technology and processes across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) or similar automation/control systems.
• Knowledge of GMP regulations and validation processes in regulated environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities across departments.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills for documentation and validation.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance and operation of validated BMS software to ensure quality standards compliance.
• Collaborate with Facilities, Operations, IT, and QA to integrate BMS into daily operations.
• Help troubleshoot and resolve BMS issues to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
• Contribute to development, review, and implementation of new technologies and best practices in the BMS environment.
• Maintain documentation of system configurations, changes, and validation activities per regulatory requirements.
• Support validation activities including testing, calibration, and audits.
• Provide training and technical support to end-users to promote effective system use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the maintenance and operation of Sentry’s validated BMS software to ensure compliance with quality standards.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Facilities, Operations, IT, and Quality Assurance to facilitate seamless integration of BMS into daily operations.


• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to BMS systems to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.


• Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of new technologies, best practices, and process improvements within the BMS environment.


• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and validation activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.


• Support validation activities, including testing, calibration, and audits, to ensure ongoing compliance and system integrity.


• Participate in training sessions and provide technical support to end-users to promote effective system utilization.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Prior experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) or similar automation/control systems preferred.


• Knowledge of GMP regulations and validation processes within regulated environments.


• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively across departments.


• Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage documentation and validation activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business (non-accounting) or related field. Regulatory documentation and process familiarity is a plus.


• Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry or related field is a plus.


• Experience with Tridium Niagara or equivalent system / Advanced software configuration is a plus.


• Technical Writing experience is preferred.
