Acuity Inc. is seeking early-career talent for its BUILD program in Atlanta, GA. This two-year rotational experience develops high-potential professionals through six-month functional rotations across engineering disciplines, enabling rapid business acumen and technical growth.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Electrical Engineering required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

• Travel up to 20% based on business needs.
• Experience with scripting and APIs required.
• Experience with lighting hardware and related cabling is expected.

Responsibilities

• New Product Development rotations across engineering disciplines.
• Sustaining/VAVE rotations and product support.
• Connect rotations with current business needs to explore areas such as optical and light engine engineering, outsourcing, PM, project management, and tech support.

Job Summary

The Acuity Inc. BUILD program is a two-year rotational experience that develops high-potential early career talent into impactful professionals through hands-on experience. BUILD participants rotate to a different functional area every six months to build business acumen and skill proficiency. Upon completion of BUILD, participants will have developed broad business understanding, functional expertise, and the professional skills needed to contribute in future career opportunities across Acuity.

BUILD is designed for early-career talent who are curious, adaptable, and motivated to grow through hands-on experience. Successful participants demonstrate strong learning agility, communication skills, ownership, critical thinking, and a willingness to seek feedback, solve problems, and contribute in a fast-paced environment. BUILD participants are expected to take an active role in their development while building the business, professional, and technical skills needed for future career opportunities at Acuity.

This role is based in Atlanta, GA, and starts employment on July 12, 2027.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Specialized onboarding for all participants to ensure integration into the organization and program.
• One-on-one mentorship from an ABL Tech leader for the duration of the program (and beyond).
• Social and networking events to forge connections with peers and leaders across the business.
• Frequent opportunities to collaborate with program peers to learn about various business processes and initiatives.
• Leadership report-out meetings to share rotational learnings and performance reviews to identify strengths and areas for growth.

Key Responsibilities

While specific projects are determined by the needs of the business, each Leadership Program has a set of “functional requirements” to ensure that all participants have similar learning objectives. All Engineering Leadership Program Specialists will rotate into the following:

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Electrical Engineering or Electrical is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and time-management skills are required.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Intermediate general proficiency with AI tools is required.
• Availability to travel based on business needs (up to 20%) is required.
• Experience in basic principals of scripting and leveraging APIs
• Experience with basic control cabling, network configuration, and comfortable working with third party lighting hardware
• Leadership experience influencing change, people, and processes is highly preferred.
• Team-oriented with a drive to take the initiative is highly preferred.
• Less than two years of related work experience is highly preferred.

The range for this position is $56,900.00 to $102,500.00 USD. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
