Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years related experience, or graduate degree with 2+ years related experience; or 8+ years experience in lieu of degree.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• 4+ years experience with analog and digital test equipment to troubleshoot, test and/or validate complex electronic systems.
• 4+ years experience in electronic troubleshooting and repair with QA workmanship.
• 4+ years experience in electronics installation and testing.
• Travel up to 20% to US and UK locations.

Responsibilities

• Support projects within the Anaheim System Test group, achieving targets for electronics systems assembly, testing, and installation for Navy and government customers.
• Occasionally support Navy testing events as a watch stander providing safety information and data collection.
• Make short-notice independent assessments for technical areas during critical Navy flight tests.

Job Description

Specialist, Field Engineering supporting the installation, grooming, operation, maintenance, and modification of complex electronic systems installed on land and sea-based platforms. The primary work for this position will be supporting a team in Anaheim that conducts electronic systems development, installation, operation, troubleshooting, and repair for various Navy, Air Force, and RGNext contracts. Position also supports Navy flight tests at various range sites in the Atlantic and Pacific.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for supporting projects and processes within the Anaheim System Test group, achieving operational targets for electronics systems assembly, assessment, testing, and installation for the Navy and other Government customers.
• Occasionally support operational Navy testing events as a watch stander providing safety information and data collection.
• Responsible for making short-notice independent assessments and decisions for technical areas of responsibility, and during critical and time-sensitive Navy flight tests.
• Assigned tasking requires communication within the Integrated Technical Solutions and Range and Test Solutions groups, as well as coordination with external supporting contractors and customers.
• Requires occasional guiding, coaching, and training of other employees on areas of responsibility for project execution.
• Support of electronics systems includes general analysis, problem solving, procedure/process development, and innovations.
• Requires the employee to make decisions with matters of significance daily for the organization.
• Requires discretion and independent judgement.
• Requires near and long-distance travel to provide contracted services on a varied schedule.
• Requires working on various tasking at the home location when not on travel, to include inventory control, production builds, repairs, systems grooming, on-the-job training, mentoring others, maintaining logbooks, filing reports, and other tasking as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum 4 years of prior related experience, or Graduate Degree and minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• 4+ years of experience with analog and digital test equipment to troubleshoot, test and/or validate complex electronic systems.
• 4+ years of experience conducting electronic troubleshooting and repair with quality assurance workmanship skills.
• 4+ years of experience conducting electronic systems installation and testing.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to US and UK locations.
• Ability to climb and work on elevated platforms.
• Ability to support occasional weekend work.

• Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to coordinate within the group and with external customers on areas of project responsibility.

In compliance with pay in California the salary range for this role is MIN $76,500 - $141,500 MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
