Job summary

Brevard Public Schools in Titusville is seeking a SPECIALIST-DISPATCH/ROUTING to manage bus scheduling, routing and dispatch for student transportation.

You will coordinate radio communications, reschedule routes, assign field trips, and serve as the primary coordinator for incidents, emergencies, and breakdowns, ensuring compliance with district policies.

This 12-month, 8-hour-per-day role requires a high school diploma and several years in transportation or related fields.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to use standard office equipment is required.
• Knowledge of word processing and data entry applications as well as general office technology as related to job functions.
• Five (5) years previous school bus driver or bus routing experience.
• Two (2) years of training in a transportation or public emergency response related setting may substitute for routing experience.
• Knowledge of the Brevard County area.
• Valid State Driver's license and CDL with P/S endorsements.

To perform district-based duties associated processing all critical radio communication as required to coordinate safe student transportation, reschedule, and assign bus routes as required. Assign and redirect field trips as required. Serves as primary coordinators for all accidents, incidents, breakdowns, unassigned routes, medical and/or student discipline and emergencies. Ensure compliance with district policies and procedures in a fast paced, high-volume communications center. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED:
