Job summary

Nestlé Purina North America is seeking a Safety Health & Environmental Specialist based at the Purina World Headquarters in St. Louis, MO. The role focuses on embedding a safety-always culture, developing SHE procedures, and supporting audits across offices and remote sites.

You will lead training, perform risk assessments, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• One year of relevant work experience in military, healthcare, manufacturing, or corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Develop, maintain and implement SHE procedures, training programs and content.
• Lead SHE projects to promote continual improvement.
• Provide safety training to campus departments and external contractors.
• Provide safety support for various internal groups.
• Perform and review risk assessments.
• Interact with internal, third-party and regulatory auditors/inspectors.
• Provide environmental compliance assistance where necessary.

We’re a safety-always environment and as Safety Health & Environmental Specialist, you’ll ensure our ‘safety-always’ mentality is engrained in every person at work, at play, at home and on the road. This team supports our Head Office (which includes Purina Farms, Flight Operations, and various Sales offices with auditing, training and knowledge sharing, and implementing new, successful programs and resources. Based at Purina World Headquarters in St. Louis, MO, we will challenge you to cultivate relationships with Head Office departments, remote sites, and vendors that are spread across the country. This role may require occasional travel.

Primary Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Life Science, Engineering, or similar discipline preferred
• One year of relevant work experience required in military, healthcare, manufacturing, or corporate environment

Salary: $70,734.60 to $102,588.00 per year

Bonus Eligibility: Yes

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
