Job summary

Comcast is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee field crews involved in overhead and underground cable and pole installations. You will ensure safety, manage schedules, and coordinate material and labor resources to meet project goals.

The role requires 2–5 years in construction, a high school diploma or GED, and a willingness to work nights and weekends. A company vehicle will be provided as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of relevant work experience in construction or related field.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation of cables and poles for overhead-underground construction while operating vehicles and trailers safely.
• Monitor project records for start dates, milestones, material costs, and labor expenditures.
• Enforce site safety standards and conduct regular safety visits and meetings.
• Ensure resources such as vehicles, equipment, and inventory are in proper working order.
• Support project coordination, develop cost estimates, monitor job costs, evaluate change orders, and control budget for work in progress.
• Generate logs and reports on construction, projects, materials, and expenditures.
• Address customer requests and complaints with timely follow-up and resolution.
• Monitor construction crew performance against goals and provide technical guidance.
• Conduct field surveys and post-construction reviews to ensure project accuracy and progress.
• Coordinate all construction project phases, including meetings, surveys, permits, and plant activation, while ensuring budget adherence.
• Manage subcontractors, interface with officials and industry representatives, and provide technical support to internal departments.

• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
