Job summary

Mission Staffing, an NYC-based investment firm, seeks an Analyst to join a lean team focused on middle market stressed, special situations, and distressed credit opportunities. You will evaluate opportunities and contribute to investment memorandums, with emphasis on rigorous credit and financial analysis.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in High Yield/Leveraged Loan research or credit investing, strong modeling, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in High Yield/Leveraged Loan Research or credit investing.
• Strong accounting, financial modeling, and credit analysis skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex information and develop independent investment views.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent credit, valuation, and industry analyses
• Build and maintain detailed financial models
• Review legal documentation, including credit agreements, indentures, and intercreditor agreements
• Perform due diligence and prepare investment memorandums highlighting key risks and investment merits
• Participate in meetings with management teams, industry experts, lenders, and other market participants

Ideal Background:

• 2+ years of experience in High Yield/Leveraged Loan Research, or a credit investing role
• Strong accounting, financial modeling, and credit analysis skills
• Ability to synthesize complex information and develop independent investment views
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
