Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Special Security Specialist (Mid-Level) to support the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Defense Intelligence Enterprise. You’ll work with the Special Security Officer to control access to SCI and SCI facilities, run the briefings and debriefings, and ensure paperwork, inspections, and audits are airtight.

This position is contingent upon award of contract and funding, requires an active TS/SCI clearance, and 8+ years of relevant security experience.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• 8+ years of relevant special security or SSO support experience, with recent experience within the last 2 years.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Working knowledge of ICD 704, ICD 705, and DoD SCI security policy.
• Meticulous attention to detail and sound judgment in handling sensitive personnel matters.

None of the missions happen without access, and access doesn’t happen without you. As a Special Security Specialist supporting DIA, you’ll work alongside the Special Security Officer to control access to SCI and SCI facilities, run the briefings and debriefings that keep the workforce compliant, and keep the paperwork, inspections, and audits airtight. You’ll be the person people trust to get their access right the first time. This position is contingent upon award of contract, business needs, security clearance verification, and funding availability.

Work Schedule: (shift hours and days of the week)

5 days, 8 hours/day M-F

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assist the Special Security Officer (SSO) in controlling access to SCI and SCI facilities (SCIFs)

Security Clearance Required:

• Active TS/SCI clearance

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Minimum Years of Experience:

• 8+ years of relevant special security or SSO support experience, with recent experience within the last 2 years

Preferred Qualifications: AI if applicable to your program

• Prior DIA or IC security experience


• SFPC, SAPPC, or similar security professional certification


• SCIF construction or accreditation experience

Pay Transparency Verbiage

The base salary range for this position is $80k to $160k. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
