Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a permanent term-time Band 3 Clinical Support Worker to join the Special School Nursing Team. The role involves supporting children up to 19 years with complex medical and nursing needs in a school setting, across five sites in Halifax and Huddersfield.

You will work Monday to Friday 08:30-16:00, with training and development opportunities. Experience with children is essential and you will be a compassionate, proactive team member.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is essential.
• Care and nursing needs of children with complex medical needs.
• Excellent communication skills and compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to children and young people under supervision within competency level.
• Assist qualified nursing staff in the Special School Nursing Team.
• Complete documentation on the care delivered using the appropriate system.
• Support with administration of medications as directed.
• Cover duties across the Special School Nursing Team at multiple sites as needed.
