  • Certification: LUM (JT-220/301/102) preferred.

  • Architect tactical data link networks, resolve data bottlenecks, and enable rapid sensor-to-shooter data distribution.

Special Project Manager

Full-Time Regular Hurlburt Field, FL

Cruz Associates Inc. of Yorktown, VA has an open position and is looking for qualified candidates for an Special Project Manager. The job location is at Hurlburt Field, Florida .

Scope: Serve as special projects coordinator and business analyst providing managerial support and subject matter expertise to the Program Management Office (PMO) in the operation of assigned mission areas. The duties span broad and various elements of acquisition and logistics, requiring the incumbent to be able to exercise a wide range of technical expertise and knowledge to gain PMO approval to plan, develop, implement, review, analyze, measure, and improve all aspects of Component/unit maintenance and logistics effecting the successful, efficient, and timely completion of assigned projects. Special Project Managers provide executive-level staffing actions and briefings for all integrated logistics support programs, evaluating priorities in relation to strategic plans and recommend corrective actions, and developing logistics support plans for all mission design systems and related subsystems. This category of PMO support provides analysis, problem identification and recommended solutions for the Unit's most difficult, complex, and critical maintenance processes, conducts independent or coordinated studies to identify, evaluate or recommend solutions to management problems. Special Project Managers provide recommendations for issues that require new procedures resulting in changes to established work methods. These managers provide input and recommendations to the PMO towards the direction of automated and database business analysis tools, modeling and concepts including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). A Special Project Manager performs routine clerical, administrative, and logistics tasks as required

Responsibilities:

  • Functions as senior tactical edge integrator, field software specialist, senior-level technical authorities, operational network architects, and warfighter communicators responsible for engineering, administering, and coordinating Distributed Command and Control (DC2), Tactical Data Links (TDLs), and Long-Range Kill Chain activities.
  • Architecting tactical data link networks from scratch, resolving real-time data flow bottlenecks, and enabling rapid sensor-to-shooter targeting data distribution

Highly Preferred Quals and Skills:

  • Link Unit Manager (LUM) certification (e.g., JT-220, JT-301, or JT-102).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive, active hands-on experience designing, establishing, and managing Link 16, JREAP, Joint Fires Networks, and kill chain execution.
  • Direct operational experience supporting critical mission execution at a Component command (e.g., AFSOC), TSOC, or Joint Special Operations Task Force (JSOTF).
