What You Will Do
- Ensure safe and efficient operations of the department. Demonstrate successful patient/technical skills by performing various procedures while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Maintain Registry and continuing education requirements of staff, if applicable.
- Support the learning environment of the hospital and the department of diagnostic imaging.
- Contribute to the successful operation of the department through effective communication, coordination, and leadership.
- Collaborate effectively with co-workers within the department and throughout the institution to ensure professional and effective completion of assignments.
- Display a commitment to the hospital’s mission and values.
- Provide age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics.
- Coordinate all ACR/ODH duties to ensure yearly inspections and ongoing compliance with ACR/ODH standards.
- Be an expert in all areas of ACR/ODH standards, QC testing, procedures, and required documentation for your area of expertise.
- Image patients within your credentialing/licensure areas.
- Educate staff and physicians in equipment operations.

- Maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI), adhering to all training, policies, and procedures.
Education
- Associate's Degree (Required) or
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology (Required)
Work Experience
- 5+ years experience in the area of expertise (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of Angiographic equipment, image printers, computers, Radiology Information System, PACS, and Electronic Medical Record (Required proficiency).
- Excellent knowledge of image and exam protocols, with proficiency in instructing students and new staff (Required proficiency).
- Proficiency in supporting physicians during interventional procedures (Required proficiency).
- Effective organizational, written, and oral communication skills (Required proficiency).
- Ability to act as a lead in the absence of a supervisor (Required proficiency).
- Excellent customer service skills (Required proficiency).
- Ability to work independently (Required proficiency).
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedure coding (Required proficiency).
Licenses and Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire (Required)
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Required)
- Certified Vascular Technologist (CVT) or equivalent (Required)
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and other physical activities as specified.
