Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions in Marysville, CA is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist to perform and assist with cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations and interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab.

You will operate imaging equipment, position patients, assist physicians, enter technical factors, and monitor responses and safety. You will also educate patients, document findings, and maintain equipment and facility standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or related experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• Cath Lab or Special Procedures experience preferred.
• RT license in state required.
• ARRT certification preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Facility-specific BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment for cardiac and vascular exams.
• Position and immobilize patients per established protocols.
• Assist physicians with interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Enter technical factors and operate fluoroscopy and contrast equipment.
• Monitor patient responses and alert physicians to changes.
• Provide patient explanations and discharge instructions.
• Monitor environmental and electrical safety factors.
• Maintain accurate documentation per program standards.

JOB TITLE: Special Procedures Technologist

Job Summary:

Performs and assists with cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations and interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab. Operates specialized imaging equipment to produce digital and contrast-enhanced images, positions and instructs patients, and supports physicians during procedures.

Education & Experience:

Associate's Degree or equivalent education/related experience: Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent: Preferred

Cath Lab or Special Procedures experience: Preferred

Licenses & Certifications:

Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in the state of practice: Required

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification: Preferred

CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor: Required

Facility-specific BLS certification: Required

Key Responsibilities:

Operate diagnostic imaging equipment for cardiac and vascular examinations.

Position and immobilize patients according to established protocols.

Assist physicians with specialized and interventional cardiovascular procedures.

Enter technical factors and operate fluoroscopy, cinefluorography, and contrast injection equipment.

Monitor patient responses, including blood pressure, cardiac output, and respiration, and alert physicians to changes.

Provide patients with procedure explanations and discharge instructions.

Monitor environmental and electrical safety factors.

Maintain accurate and updated documentation according to program standards.
